HRB Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine
Hardys HRB Cabernet Sauvignon blends fruit from the regions best known for the variety. This multi-regional approach to winemaking was pioneered by Hardys founder Thomas Hardy in the 1860s.
It has since become the inspiration for Hardys Heritage Reserve Bin (HRB) range. HRB Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Coonawarra, McLaren Vale and Frankland River regions.
The fruit is fermented separately in open top stainless steel tanks. The wine matures in French oak for 16 months and undergoes full malolactic fermentation. The final blend is selected at bottling.
Brilliant scarlet red, Hardys HRB Cabernet Sauvignon has intense dark fruit and spicy oak flavours. Its fine tannins deliver persistent length. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
