Wine

Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz is made with a mix of newer and old vine fruit from Ebenezer at the northern tip of the Barossa Valley. It takes the family name of founder Colin Glaetzer's wife Judith.

The grapes ferment in one and two tonne open fermenters with neutral yeasts. Extended maceration on skins follows. This develops the tannins and ensures the wine is soft and approachable early.

The wine matures for 16 months in new and seasoned oak hogsheads, predominantly French with a small portion American.

Dark garnet red, Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz has pure dark fruit flavours, its ripe tannins deliver structure and length. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
