La Chiave Sangiovese
Wine
Castagna La Chiave Sangiovese is grown in the distinctly Mediterranean climate of Beechworth in north-east Victoria.
Traditional winemaking and minimal interference methods prevail. The fruit is hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Maturation occurs in new and seasoned, tight grained French oak for 18-20 months.
Dark crimson, Castagna La Chiave Sangiovese has sweet berry flavours and cedary tannins leading to a long, savoury finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
