Cape Mentelle Wallcliffe Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is made from the low yielding vines of the original Wallcliffe Vineyard planted in 1970. It is inspired by the white wines of Bordeaux.

A blend of 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Semillon, only the finest parcels are hand harvested. They ferment in new and seasoned French oak barrels, while in some years stainless steel is used.

The wine matures on lees for at least seven months without stirring or racking. A selection of the best barrels is blended just prior to bottling to reflect the character of the season and the vineyard.

Light straw green, Cape Mentelle Wallcliffe Sauvignon Blanc Semillon has juicy citrus flavours, rich tactile texture and an intense finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
