Rose & Thorns Riesling
Wine
Byron & Harold Rose & Thorns Riesling fruit is picked in the cool of the morning from vineyards at Mount Barker in the Great Southern region.
The grapes are transported directly to the winery, then crushed and gently pressed to tank. After cold settling for 48 hours, the juice is cleanly racked and inoculated with a neutral yeast.
The ferment is kept at 13-14°C to retain the wine's fresh fruit aromas and increase its weight and texture. After a short maturation, the wine is blended, fined and bottled.
Pale straw, Byron & Harold Rose & Thorns Riesling has citrus and floral flavours, fresh natural acidity and a clean finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
