Reserve Chardonnay

Brookland Valley Estate Reserve Chardonnay is made with parcels sourced from a block by the entrance to the estate vineyard which slopes down to the Wilyabrup Brook.

To reduce exposure to February heat the fruit is among the earliest harvested in Margaret River.

The handpicked fruit is refrigerated and whole bunch pressed to French oak barrels. It ferments with indigenous yeasts and undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel.

The wine is left on yeast lees to mature for eight months before final barrel selection.

Pale straw green, Brookland Valley Reserve Chardonnay has intense aromatics with rich citrus flavours and restrained acidity.

Made only in exceptional years. Cellaring potential is seven years.
