One Seven One Cabernet Sauvignon

Brand's Laira One Seven One Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the estate's No. 1 Cabernet Block planted in 1971 in the Laira Vineyard immediately adjacent to the Coonawarra township.

One Seven One is a classic Coonawarra Cabernet. The winery and its vines are nestled in the heart of the celebrated Coonawarra terra rossa strip.

The grapes ferment on skins in stainless steel tanks for seven days with twice daily pump overs. The juice is pressed off skins and pumped to new French oak to complete primary and malolactic fermentation.

The wine is racked off lees and siphoned back to mature in the same barrels. Total maturation time is 21 months. Only select barrels make it into the final blend.

Deep ruby red, Brand's Laira One Seven One Cabernet Sauvignon has pure dark fruit flavours, seamless oak and a powerful yet elegant structure. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
