Wine
Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir is grown in the original Leongatha vineyard planted at 8,500 vines per hectare. The vineyard feels the cool maritime influence of the nearby Bass Strait.
All wine production at Bass Phillip is guided by the cosmic rhythms believed to impart energy and vibrancy into the wines. They pay undivided attention to the detail, with an insatiable passion for making quality wine.
Racking is kept to a minimum and no pumps are used in the winery. As founder Phillip Jones said, "The difference between good and great Pinot Noir is texture. We try to minimize the bruising effects that pumping can have on texture."
Deep purple red, Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir has assertive personality, spicy aromas and lush fruit flavour. Fruit, tannins and oak weave seamlessly together.
An outstanding Pinot Noir. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
