Ashton Hills Estate Riesling is sourced from a tiny 0.34 hectare plot of carefully cultivated rows of vines planted by Stephen George in 1982.

Situated on a ridge just below the summit of Mount Lofty, the Piccadilly Valley vineyard is one of the highest and coldest sites in the Adelaide Hills.

The grapes are crushed, destemmed and chilled. They are gently pressed with only the free run juice kept. Fermentation occurs at a cool temperature, ensuring a low level of natural residual sweetness remains.

Straw green, Ashton Hills Estate Riesling has ripe citrus flavours, pithy texture and fine mineral acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
