Chardonnay
Wine
Amelia Park Chardonnay is handpicked from estate vineyards at Wilyabrup in Margaret River. It is typically a blend of Gin Gin, Davis and Dijon clone Chardonnay.
The grapes are chilled overnight and whole bunch pressed to stainless steel tanks. The cloudy juice is settled for 24 hours and then transferred to French oak barrels to undergo wild fermentation.
Maturation occurs on lees for nine months, with minimal stirring to maintain fruit freshness and natural acidity. There is no malolactic fermentation.
Straw green, Amelia Park Chardonnay is a soft, fresh wine with tropical fruit flavours, citrus acidity and chalky minerality. Cellaring potential is five years.
