Range View Reserve Pinot Noir
Wine
Helen’s Hill Range View Reserve Pinot Noir draws from vines planted on a single west facing block close to the top of Helen’s Hill, overlooking the Yarra Ranges.
It is the boldest of the winery's Pinot Noirs, made entirely from the Pommard clone. The fruit is handpicked when acidity, sugar levels and flavour come into balance.
The grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed, ensuring a percentage of the berries remain whole. Open top fermentation occurs on skins with daily gentle pump overs to develop structure and aroma.
Once pressed off skins, the wine is racked to new and seasoned French oak barrels for 11 months of maturation.
Dark crimson, Helen's Hill Range View Reserve Pinot Noir has intense dark fruits, spice and ample structured tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
