De Bortoli Yarra Valley Section A5 Chardonnay is from an outstanding south-west facing single vineyard planted at Dixons Creek in 1976. It is a gentle south west facing vineyard.

Grapes are hand selected for quality, whole bunch crushed and allowed to settle overnight. The juice is racked to seasoned French oak casks for natural fermentation and maturation.

The lees are stirred occasionally in late autumn then left to rest. Gravity is used to transfer the wine at all stages of vinification.

Pale green straw, De Bortoli Yarra Valley Section A5 Chardonnay has tightly woven texture, soft citrus acidity and a lasting finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
