Reserve Chardonnay
Wine
Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay sees a strict selection process. It is made from the Briarston 4, Coldstream G and House Blocks, mature vineyards planted between 1985 and 1994.
All batches are handled separately. After whole bunch pressing, the juice ferments in new and seasoned French oak barrels. To retain the wine's natural acidity, malolactic fermentation is not encouraged.
It matures on lees in French oak for 10 months before blending. The wine is meticulously made with minimal intervention at the winery. It is made only in exceptional vintages.
Pale straw green, Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay has intense stone fruit and citrus flavours with seamless oak, balanced acidity and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
