Wine

Bleasdale Bremerview Shiraz draws fruit from the estate Bremerview Vineyard (planted along the banks of the Bremer River) and specialist Langhorne Creek growers.

When Frank Potts established Bleasdale in 1850, he built a system of locks and weirs to capture the Bremer River floodwaters and irrigate the vines. Today many Langhorne Creek vineyards, including Bremerview, still rely on this original system.

The fruit, mostly destemmed with around 15% whole bunches, is open fermented with up to four pump overs daily. Once drained, pressed and settled, the wine is racked to a mix of tanks and French oak puncheons for malolactic fermentation and ageing.

Deep red purple, Bleasdale Bremerview Shiraz has intense spicy aromas with dark berry flavours and long, fine, silky tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
