First Village Shiraz
Wine
Bethany Wines First Village Shiraz draws from the birthplace of the Barossa Valley, Bethany, where the vines are cooled by gully breezes both spring and summer.
The first Barossa settlement at Bethany was established by Silesian immigrants in 1842. The First Village label tells the story in Scherenschnitte, in the style of German paper cutting.
The fruit is harvested in small parcels, with each parcel kept separate for fermentation and oak maturation. The final blend is assembled one month before bottling to give the composite parts time to meld together.
Dark purple, Bethany Wines First Village Shiraz is full bodied with dark fruit flavours, subtly spicy oak and fine grained tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
