Woodlands Brook Vineyard Chardonnay

Woodlands Brook Vineyard Chardonnay draws from a close planted Chardonnay plot on the Woodland Brook Vineyard at Wilyabrup in Margaret River.

The fruit is handpicked and sorted by the bunch, then whole bunch pressed. The juice ferments without additions. Some malolactic fermentation follows, though it is not actively promoted.

The wine then matures in various new and seasoned oak barrels: 300 litre hogsheads, 500 litre puncheons and a foudre (large vat).

Pale straw, Woodlands Brook Vineyard Chardonnay has orchard fruit flavours, bright acidity and a long toasty finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
