Stevens Road Malbec
Wine
Xanadu Stevens Road Malbec draws from just 11 rows of Margaret River Malbec on the estate Stevens Road Vineyard. The Boodjidup Brook weaves through the property.
The fruit is crushed and destemmed to small open fermenters. During fermentation, the cap of grape skins is regularly plunged by hand.
The wine is gently pressed to tank to complete the ferment. It is then racked to fine French oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and maturation. The best barrels are selected for the final blend.
The wine is produced in very limited amounts, a statement of quality not quantity.
Deep red purple, Xanadu Stevens Road Malbec is full bodied with plush dark fruit flavours, fine velvety tannins and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
