Yarra Yering New Territories Shiraz Touriga is a blend of Shiraz and Portuguese variety Touriga Naçional, estate grown in the Yarra Valley.

The Shiraz draws from vines planted in 1995 on the Salamenca Block. The terraced Touriga block, with 1990 and 2013 plantings, sits just above the Shiraz.

Whole berry fermentation is encouraged for both varieties. The ferments are gently hand plunged twice daily for minimal tannin extraction.

The individual parcels age in old French oak barrels stored in the winery's underground cellar. They are blended prior to bottling.

Deep red, Yarra Yering New Territories Shiraz Touriga is a juicy, fleshy and spicy wine with a firm structure. It is best in its youth.
