Koomilya CP Block Cabernet Sauvignon

S.C. Pannell Koomilya CP Block Cabernet Sauvignon draws from a south-east facing slope of the Koomilya Vineyard in McLaren Vale, planted by Jill and Don Cant in 1975.

The site is home to the old McLaren Vale clone of Cabernet: extremely low yielding vines that produce small bunches, tiny berries and exceptional quality fruit. It is all hand harvested.

The wine spends 10 days on skins before being gently pressed and sent to French oak puncheons, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and maturation. It is bottled after around 20 months in barrel.

Deep crimson purple, S.C. Pannell Koomilya CP Block Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied with red and black berry flavours and a fine yet profound tannin profile.

A superb McLaren Vale Cabernet. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
