Hillside Vineyard Grenache
Wine
Torbreck Hillside Vineyard Grenache is sourced from the historic Hillside property at Lyndoch. It is Torbreck's southernmost Barossa Valley vineyard.
The Hillside Vineyard occupies gentle west facing slopes primarily comprised of dark red clay. Its dry grown Grenache bush vines, planted in 1949, are always low yielding and consistently produce quality fruit.
The wine sees partial whole bunch fermentation. Post ferment, it matures in a second fill 2,400 litre French oak barrel.
Crimson red, Torbreck Hillside Vineyard Grenache has rich fruit flavours, a long acid spine and fine tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
