50 Year Old Vines Shiraz
Wine
Château Tanunda 50 Year Old Vines Shiraz draws from Barossa vineyards planted in the 1950s and 1960s. Now fully mature, the vines consistently produce quality fruit.
The grapes are destemmed into open fermenters. They spend seven days on skins with hand plunging twice a day to gently extract flavour, tannins and colour. Careful basket pressing follows.
The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and 24 months of maturation in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels.
Crimson purple, Château Tanunda 50 Year Old Vines Shiraz has fleshy dark berry flavours and brambly tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
