Single Vineyard The Eleven Chardonnay

Montalto Single Vineyard The Eleven Chardonnay is sourced from just 11 rows of P58 clone Chardonnay on the winery's home vineyard at Red Hill South on the Mornington Peninsula.

The fruit is whole bunch pressed. Its juice, with a considered amount of grape solids, is transferred to new and seasoned French oak barriques for wild yeast fermentation. Natural malolactic fermentation brings the natural acidity into check.

The wine matures on lees with stirring as needed. After about one year, the wine is blended and bottled.

Pale straw green, Montalto Single Vineyard The Eleven Chardonnay has a core of tangy citrus flavours with subtle oak and a creamy texture. Cellaring potential is five years.
