KBS Vineyard Pinot Noir
Wine
Stonier KBS Vineyard Pinot Noir draws from the middle of the KBS Vineyard at Merricks on the Mornington Peninsula, where the Pinot Noir is flanked on both sides by Chardonnay.
The winemaking is tailored to give the vineyard its own voice. MV6 clone Pinot Noir is destemmed and fermented with gentle working to maximize its character. After several weeks on skins, the wine is pressed and aged in predominantly seasoned French oak.
Light red purple, Stonier KBS Vineyard Pinot Noir is built on tension rather than power with red fruit flavours and fine, silty tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
