Jim Barry Cellar Release The Florita Riesling is sourced from the Clare Valley's famous Florita Vineyard at Watervale, planted to Riesling in 1962.
The grapes are hand selected from individual rows where the terra rossa and loamy soils barely cover the limestone below. These soils produce the site's best fruit.
To guarantee freshness, the grapes are carefully picked in the chill of night, in batches to precisely fill the winery's membrane press. The bunches are destemmed without being crushed.
After fermentation the wine is bottled and cellared in optimum conditions for 5-6 years before release
Straw yellow, Jim Barry Cellar Release The Florita Riesling has toasty aged complexity yet remains driven by clean, fresh citrus flavours and silky acidity.
It showcases the ability of fine Australian Rieslings to evolve over time. Cellaring potential is a further 15 years.
