Our Limited Release Estate Riesling
Wine
Jacob's Creek Our Limited Release Estate Riesling is made with fruit handpicked from a single block of bush vines planted in 1997 on the banks of Jacob's Creek.
It is the site where in 1847 Jacob's Creek founder Johann Gramp planted his first vines – which were also bush vine Riesling. The new vines were planted to celebrate the winery's 150th anniversary.
The wine Gramp made from his original vines was fermented in tiny oak barrels. Fittingly its modern sibling is made in a similar way, with a portion of the Riesling fermented and aged in tiny seasoned oak barrels known as octaves.
Pale straw, Jacob's Creek Our Limited Release Estate Riesling has citrus flavours, racy acidity and a spicy edge from the oak. Cellaring potential is seven years.
