Laterite Hills Chardonnay
Wine
McHenry Hohnen Laterite Hills Chardonnay is a blend of fruit handpicked from the winery's Margaret River vineyards: Calgardup Brook, Hazel's, Burnside and Chapman.
The fruit is whole bunch pressed, the juice is then wild yeast fermented in new and seasoned French oak. The barrels are left unsulphured over the winter months and a portion undergo malolactic fermentation. After 10 months, the wine is bottled.
Pale straw, McHenry Hohnen Laterite Hills Chardonnay offers stone fruit and citrus flavours with creamy oak complexity. Cellaring potential is five years.
