Coonawarra Cabernet Franc
Wine
Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Franc is sourced from one hectare of vines planted in 1982 at the heart of Coonawarra, known for its rich terra rossa soils over limestone.
The fruit is fermented as a single batch over seven days. Following pressing and malolactic fermentation, the wine is racked to French and American oak hogsheads, mostly seasoned. It is racked several times during maturation to soften the tannins.
Scarlet red, Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Franc is medium bodied with fragrant fruit flavours and round, silky tannins. Cellaring potential is six years.
