Barbera
Wine
TarraWarra Estate Barbera was first produced in 2015. It is a popular Italian red wine variety. It grows on a long, north-west facing estate block with clay loam soils.
The grapes are a clone of Barbera specifically chosen for the TarraWarra style. They are destemmed for open fermentation, spending two weeks on skins. The wine then matures in new and seasoned French oak for nine months.
Deep red purple, TarraWarra Estate Barbera is full flavoured with cool climate nuances, ripe fruit notes and firm structure. Cellaring potential is seven years.
