Alexander Munro Aged Release Shiraz
Wine
Meerea Park Alexander Munro Aged Release Shiraz is named in honour of winemaker Rhys Eather's great-great-grandfather. It is made with the best parcel of Shiraz each vintage.
The handpicked fruit is crushed into open vats. As it ferments the juice is plunged twice daily to optimize flavour and tannin extraction. The wine is then pressed straight into new and seasoned French oak barrels to mature for 18 months.
The wine is lightly fined and minimally filtered at bottling. It then spends several years developing in the bottle before it is released.
Crimson red, Meerea Park Alexander Munro Aged Release Shiraz is medium bodied with fine tannins in harmony with layers of fruit and oak. Cellaring potential is 15 years from release.
