Alexander Munro Aged Release Semillon
Wine
Meerea Park Alexander Munro Aged Release Semillon represents the best parcel of Meerea Park Semillon. It is named after the great-great-grandfather of winemaker Rhys Eather.
The renowned Braemore Vineyard at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley typically provides the fruit. The vines, now in their maturity, are dry grown in sand flats along the region’s prominent Hermitage Road.
The grapes are handpicked, crushed and fermented in stainless steel. After bottling, the wine develops for many years in the cellar prior to release.
Straw yellow, Meerea Park Alexander Munro Aged Release Semillon displays citrus minerality with toasty complexity from its time in bottle. The finish is long and focused.
It is produced only in outstanding years. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
