Ellen Street Shiraz
Wine
Maxwell Wines Ellen Street Shiraz is sourced from a small vineyard on the winery's southern border, along a road that was originally known as Ellen Street.
Planted in 1953, the craggy, gnarled Shiraz vines produce concentrated grapes, but only in very small quantities. After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in oak barrels, mostly French with some American to add complexity.
Deep purple red, Maxwell Wines Ellen Street Shiraz is generously flavoured with subtle oak complexity and velvety tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
