Dr Nadeson Riesling
Wine
Lethbridge Dr Nadeson Riesling is named after Dr Ray Nadeson, one of the winery's founders, who holds a PhD in medicine but chose to jump into the world of winemaking with both feet.
The fruit is sourced from the Doeven Vineyard at Drumborg in the Henty region: one of the coldest wine regions on the Australian mainland. All the grapes are handpicked.
Whole bunch pressed juice undergoes fermentation with wild yeasts on partial solids. In the German style, the ferment is stopped while a small amount of residual sugar remains, taming the fruit's cool climate acidity.
Straw with green hues, Lethbridge Dr Nadeson Riesling has rich, ripe fruit flavours sluicing across the palate with a juicy natural acidity. Cellaring potential is three years.
