Late Harvest Riesling

Granite Hills Late Harvest Riesling is a rare release from the winery. It is made with estate fruit left on the vine longer than traditional Riesling.

Having spent longer ripening, and with some Botrytis cinerea development, the grapes contain high levels of sugar. All the fruit is hand harvested.

It is placed into an elevated crushing system, which gently moves the berries by gravity from the crusher to the press. The juice is not allowed to complete fermentation, leaving the wine with a relatively high amount of natural residual sugar.

Deep yellow, Granite Hills Late Harvest Riesling is sweet yet refreshing in style, with tropical fruit flavours. Cellaring potential is five years.
