Balgownie Estate Bendigo Chardonnay is sourced from the estate vineyard at Maiden Gully in Bendigo, planted to Chardonnay in 1976.

The grapes are handpicked at the perfect balance of ripeness and acidity, then whole bunch pressed. The free run juice is barrel fermented over six weeks, with wild yeasts building complexity in the wine.

Maturation on lees occurs in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months. Malolactic fermentation is discouraged.

Golden yellow, Balgownie Estate Bendigo Chardonnay is medium bodied with creamy stone fruit flavours, crisp acidity and gentle oak. Cellaring potential is eight years.
