Reserve Chardonnay
Wine
Amelia Park Reserve Chardonnay represents the best parcels of Chardonnay of the vintage. It typically comprises Gin Gin clone fruit from a single vineyard at Treeton in Margaret River.
The fruit is handpicked in the early morning to retain freshness, then placed into a cool room to chill further overnight. The next morning, the whole bunches are gently pressed.
The free run juice is sent to a stainless steel tank and allowed to settle naturally. The slightly cloudy juice is then racked to new and seasoned French oak barrels to undergo wild fermentation.
Maturation occurs over nine months with occasional lees stirring to add texture and complexity to the final wine. There is no malolactic fermentation.
Deep yellow, Amelia Park Reserve Chardonnay is delicate and well balanced with stone fruit and citrus notes leading to a long finish. Cellaring potential is eight years.
