Wine
The Lane Vineyard Heritage John Crighton Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon is the winery's take on Australia's premier red blend. It is named after John 'Jack' Crighton Edwards, father of winery co-founder John Edwards.
Every berry is grown on the estate vineyard, the Shiraz on an east facing aspect and the Cabernet running uphill on a north facing slope. Select parcels of fruit are harvested from the oldest of these vines.
Fermentation occurs naturally with no additions. After 18-20 months ageing in new French oak barrels, the best batches are selected to comprise the final blend.
Garnet red, The Lane Vineyard Heritage John Crighton Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon has powerful brambly flavours and structured, chewy tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
