Chardonnay
Wine
Stella Bella Chardonnay is an annual selection sourced from several estate vineyard sites in the southern reaches of Margaret River. The wine strives to capture this area's distinct personality.
Different clones are planted, with the Gin Gin clone, also known as Mendoza, predominant.
The fruit from each vineyard is vinified separately. Whole bunch pressing extracts the free run juice which wild ferments in French oak. The lees are stirred regularly during partial malolactic fermentation.
The wine matures in barrel for 10 months before the separate parcels are blended and bottled.
Bright pale straw, Stella Bella Chardonnay has driving citrus flavours, southern Margaret River minerality and a lingering textural finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
