Wine
Stargazer Rada, first produced in 2017, is a blend of Pinot Meunier from Piper's Brook in Tasmania's north-east and Pinot Noir from the Coal River Valley near Hobart.
The Pinot Meunier fruit is fully destemmed as is most of the Pinot Noir, though in some vintages a portion is left as whole bunches. The grapes are cold soaked and co-fermented with wild yeasts.
After basket pressing, the wine is racked off gross lees to older French oak puncheons, where it remains on fine lees for five months prior to bottling.
Ruby red, Stargazer Rada's hallmark is fresh red fruit flavours with savoury spice, fine tannins and bright acidity to finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
