Single Vineyard Hexham Chardonnay
Wine
Soumah Single Vineyard Hexham Chardonnay is grown on south-west facing slopes of sandy clay loams at Gruyere in the Yarra Valley. The fruit is handpicked.
After whole bunch pressing, the juice is wild yeast fermented in a mix of barriques and puncheons. A small proportion of the barrels is new. The wine then matures on lees for eight months with partial malolactic fermentation to build depth.
Pale straw, Soumah Single Vineyard Hexham Chardonnay has zesty fruit flavours with silky oak and a long, clean finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
