Cirrus Single Vineyard Riesling
Wine
Sons of Eden Cirrus Single Vineyard Riesling is named after the cloud formations that typify the Eden Valley skies during harvest. It represents the winery's best parcel of Riesling.
The vineyard is situated in the high altitude High Eden area. Its schist soils, rocky outcrops, vast exposure and undulating hillside aspects made it ideal for Riesling.
The fruit is hand harvested, chilled to 6°C and whole bunch pressed. Only the finest portion of free run juice is taken and after naturally settling for several weeks, only the clearest juice is selected for cool fermentation.
Once the wine reaches sugar dryness, it is left on yeast lees for four months before bottling. It is released after 12 months of bottle maturation.
Pale green, Sons of Eden Cirrus Single Vineyard Riesling has great intensity and freshness, finishing with a flicker of mineral texture. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
