Cornelius Kincardine Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine
Scotchmans Hill Cornelius Kincardine Vineyard Chardonnay is a single site expression of Chardonnay from the Kincardine Vineyard on the Bellarine Peninsula.
After whole bunch pressing, the free run juice is run to French oak barriques, half new and half one year old. Some solids are retained in the juice for wild yeast fermentation.
The lees are stirred monthly for the first six months of maturation. After ageing for 15-18 months, the wine is blended and bottled with fining and filtration.
Golden straw, Scotchmans Hill Cornelius Kincardine Vineyard Chardonnay has stone fruit flavours with creamy, nutty oak. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
