Primo Estate Joseph Moda Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is sourced from two McLaren Vale vineyards: one on McMurtrie Road on the valley floor and the other higher up at Clarendon.

The elegant Clarendon fruit balances the richer, more tannic characters of the McMurtrie Road parcel. All the grapes are picked and sorted by hand.

The winemaking incorporates a traditional Italian moda, or 'method', known as Amarone. This method sees whole bunches of grapes are placed onto shaded outdoor racks to air dry for at least one week.

This concentrated fruit is crushed and open fermented with manual pump overs. The wine then matures in new and seasoned French and American oak over 18 months.

Deep red purple, Primo Estate Joseph Moda Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is brooding in style yet silky with a gentle finish of lingering oak. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
