No. 17 Cabernet Blend

Philip Shaw Wines No. 17 Cabernet Blend is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from the winery's Koomooloo Vineyard in Orange, situated at 900 metres altitude.
The fruit is harvested and sorted by hand. Each variety is fermented separately with indigenous yeasts, receiving rack and returns, pump overs and plunging. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the spring.
The wine then matures for around 12 months in French oak barrels, a small proportion new, before blending and bottling.
Dark garnet red, Philip Shaw Wines No. 17 Cabernet Blend is a finely tuned blend of pure fruit intensity and lingering savoury characters. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
