Estate Shiraz Viognier

Millbrook Winery Estate Shiraz Viognier is sourced from the estate's Jarrahdale property in the Perth Hills. The vines were planted in 1996 on a shallow, lateritic ridge.

Most of the fruit is destemmed and cold soaked for two days. The Shiraz and Viognier grapes are then co-fermented in small open fermenters with a regime of hand plunging and, in select vintages, pump overs.

The wine is gently pressed in tank to encourage malolactic fermentation before being racked to new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. The wine matures for 20 months prior to blending and bottling.

Deep ruby red, Millbrook Winery Estate Shiraz Viognier is a rich, smooth wine with vibrant dark fruit flavours and toasty, cedary oak. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
