Barossa Valley Shiraz
Wine
Michael Hall Barossa Valley Shiraz is sourced from the terracotta red, iron rich soils of the Triangle Block at Stone Well in the Barossa Valley. The vineyard is biodynamically managed.
Wild yeast fermentation occurs in both open fermenters and closed puncheons. Around one quarter of the fruit is included as whole bunches. The wine ages for 21 months in French oak, a small proportion new, before it is bottled unfiltered.
Deep crimson, Michael Hall Barossa Valley Shiraz balances plush red fruit and tart plum flavours with earthy, spicy notes and fine grained tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
