Maxwell Wines Minotaur Reserve Shiraz, named after the half man half bull creature of Greek mythology, represents the winery's finest parcel of McLaren Vale Shiraz.

The wine is only made in small quantities. Following open fermentation, it matures for 24 months in barrel. Most of the oak is newer French oak, though in certain years some older American barrels are used.

Deep purple, Maxwell Wines Minotaur Reserve Shiraz has classic Shiraz generosity tempered by long velvety tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
