Monopole Mother Vine Shiraz
Wine
Hewitson Monopole Mother Vine Shiraz draws from a special Barossa Valley vineyard exclusively owned and controlled by Hewitson.
All its vines are genetically identical. Each is descended from one surviving vine of pre-Phylloxera Shiraz, planted in 1853. Over time, Hewitson has propagated and cultivated more vines, resurrecting this ancient Shiraz clone.
After fermentation, the wine typically matures for 22 months in French oak barrels.
Deep inky red, Hewitson Monopole Mother Vine Shiraz is a full bodied wine with rich black fruits and seamlessly integrated tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
