Estate Shiraz
Wine
Flaxman Wines Estate Shiraz, made only in very small quantities, is grown on the estate Eden Valley vineyard first established in 1929. The vines are pruned and harvested by hand.
The fruit is destemmed and open fermented with wild yeasts. Though the fermenting juice is predominantly hand plunged, it also sees several pump overs. The wine then matures for two years in new and seasoned French oak barrels.
Deep red purple, Flaxman Wines Estate Shiraz has intense dark fruit flavours, elegant spicy characters and firm tannins leading to a long finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
