Altura Vineyard Sangiovese
Wine
Freeman Vineyards Altura Vineyard Sangiovese draws from the estate Altura Vineyard at Hilltops. The site enjoys a continental climate of warm summer days and cool nights.
The vines are 1970s rootstock grafted to Sangiovese in 2010. After harvest, the fruit is fermented on skins for up to 10 days. The wine is then gently basket pressed and transferred to old oak barrels to mature for 12 months.
Deep garnet, Freeman Vineyards Altura Vineyard Sangiovese has ripe fruit flavours and subtle oak over a gently spicy frame. Cellaring potential is six years.
