Chardonnay

Pt. Leo Estate Chardonnay is drawn from the estate vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula's south-eastern tip, where the fruit benefits from cooling night time breezes.

The grapes are handpicked and gently whole bunch pressed into a tank to settle overnight. The juice is then transferred to French oak, a small proportion new, and inoculated with a neutral yeast.

The barrels are stirred occasionally until malolactic fermentation is completed in more than half of the blend. The wine rests on lees until bottling.

Pale gold, Pt. Leo Estate Chardonnay has pleasing citrus acidity with hints of oak and velvety textures. Cellaring potential is five years.
